Course outline:

The CITB Site Safety Plus Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) health and safety course is highly regarded within the construction industry, taken by more than 10,000 people each year.

The SMSTS training course helps site managers (and anyone training to become a site manager) to develop a better understanding of the legal, moral and social responsibilities of their role, and to integrate good health & safety practice into site management.

Candidates are continually assessed during the course, culminating in a presentation to the group and summative assessment.

To retain the qualification beyond the expiry date delegates must attend and pass the SMSTS Refresher course within 5 years.

Course Content:

The SMSTS course covers The Health & Safety at Work Act and the regulations relevant to the Construction Industry, but more so how these are interpreted and put into practice in the planning and management of construction operations such as

– Working at Height
